Setting up your first device
The promise is simple: power it on near your phone, and ZENTOS finds it from there. Here's the whole thing, in three steps.
Download the app and sign in
Get the ZENTOS app from the App Store or Google Play. Sign in with Google, Apple, or your phone number.
Power the device on near your phone
Plug it in, or switch it on if a technician installed it. Keep your phone nearby with the app open, and a card appears by itself: “New device found.” Tap Set Up.
Name it and pick its room
“Living Room Lights” beats “Device 01” forever. Pick the room, and you're done. The device shows on your dashboard, ready.
If it can't connect
Nothing appeared? Bring the phone closer and check the device has power. A faint glow or click says it's awake.
“Can't connect, check if it's plugged in.” Exactly what it says: check the plug or the switch feeding it, then tap Try Again.
Asked for a Wi-Fi password? Use your home network's password. The device remembers it afterwards, and keeps working locally even when the internet drops.
