Naming devices and rooms
Good names are the whole trick. Name a product for where it lives and what it does, and everything after that is easier.

Open the device, then its name
Tap any device on your dashboard, then the name at the top. Type something you'd actually say out loud.

Group it into a room
Rooms keep the dashboard tidy. Assign each device to Living Room, Kitchen, Bedroom, or a room you create. A device can only live in one room.

Reorder rooms to match your day
Drag rooms so the ones you touch most sit at the top. The house should open to what you reach for first.
A small habit that pays off
Rename as you go. The evening you add a lamp, name it then, not later. A dashboard of real names is one you can hand to anyone in the house without a tour.
