When a device won't connect
Nine times out of ten it's one of three things, and all three take seconds to rule out. Work down the list in order.
Check these, in order
Power first. Look for a faint glow or a soft click. No sign of life means the plug, switch, or breaker feeding it, not the app.
Distance next. Setup needs your phone close, within a room. Once it's added, distance stops mattering. Move nearer and tap Try Again.
Wi-Fi last. If it asks for a password, it's your home network's password it wants. Mistype it once and it will keep failing quietly, so re-enter it carefully.
Still nothing?
Unplug the device, wait ten seconds, plug it back in, and start setup again. A fresh power cycle clears most connection trouble. If it still refuses, that's on us. Message us and we'll look at it with you.
